IN LLANISHEN AND DISTRICT
The Christian body in the area has a long history of good relations with many collaborative activities. There are currently eleven churches from eight denominations in fellowship together, with joint services, united witness and combined Lent study groups.
Llanishen Methodist Church has always been active in the local ecumenical scene. Methodists, lay and ministerial, have served terms as treasurer, secretary or chairman many times during the 50 year history of the Llanishen & Lisvane Council of Churches, Churches Together in Llanishen and Lisvane and, currently, Churches Together in Llanishen and Disrtict. and have been active in the various working groups.
The plaque is displayed beside the entrance door of our church to remind all who pass by of the wider Christian community of which we are a part.
The plaques were made in 1992 by a local potter, Molly Curley, who won an open competition for a suitable logo.
|LLANISHEN QUIET GARDEN
A Quiet Garden has been developed at the side of our Church by a group from Churches Together as an amenity for the whole area.
